Dr. Kathryn Selig Brown, Independent Curator/Asian Art Consultant

Dr. Kathryn Selig Brown is the Co-Curator of the Discovering Ganesh multimedia project. Ms. Brown served as the Curator at the Rubin Museum of Art, NY from 2004-07. She has curated more than a dozen exhibitions of South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Himalayan art for institutions including: The Rubin Museum, Asia Society, The Harn Museum, and The Katonah Museum of Art. Ms. Brown is a former professor of South and Southeast Asian Art History at New York University and Columbia University. As the author of numerous articles and the catalogue Eternal Presence: Handprints and Footprints in Buddhist Art  she is a leading expert in her field. Dr. Selig Brown received her doctorate in Tibetan Art History from the University of Michigan.
