Alecia Cohen

Alecia Cohen is the Co-Founder of Travel Exploration and the Associate Publisher for Zenbu Media Group; a multi-pronged publishing company specializing in niche publications: Global Rhythm, Relix, Metal Edge and Metal Maniacs. Ms. Cohen has played a major role in the introduction of today's new international music culture to a wide-spanning readership and is a much sought-after expert and consultant in the music business and related fields. Ms. Cohen grew up in Miami, and was originally inspired by the many varied nationalities and cultures situated there. In 1992, the then 21-year-old launched a newsletter aimed at spotlighting emerging ethnic music trends, thereby helping American consumers expand their horizons and lifestyles through exposure to culture, particularly world music, film, food and travel. Today GLOBAL RHYTHM is the leading publication in its field. In 2005 Ms. Cohen sold Global Rhythm to Zenbu Media Group.

In addition to publishing, Ms. Cohen has served as music consultant for Israeli filmmaker Avi Nesher and for Link Television, the 24-hour TV network featuring world news, human rights issues, world music and culture. She has lectured at the World Bank's Conference on Culture and Sustainable Development, been featured in various print and TV venues including CNN Financial News, Entrepreneurial Edge, Crain's and Entrepreneur. Ms. Cohen's current project focus is Travel Exploration, a new travel company that will enable Americans and Europeans to Discover the Best of Morocco.
